GEOM Weather risk tool due for release March 2021:
Application developed in python to access Copernicus Re-Analysis meteorological data for any given location on earth. Considering all survey equipment has environmental limits (e.g. wind speed for a drone) and importing local tide gauge data this tool allows us to:
- Query on average, over the last 30 years, e.g. how many hours flight would my drone get per year with the tide below MLWS, in daylight, not raining and with a windspeed below XX.
- Contractors can estimate their weather risk on a project e.g. on average, how many hours was the wind below XX, in daylight with a tide greater than XXm above CD per year?
